UTOUG Training Days 2019

Analytic Views bring analytic function results to mere mortals – fast!  No OLAP, no BI-degree or extra license required. This session presents Analytic Views for the non-BI, non-DW audience.  Analytic Views, a no-cost option of the database, are available to all Oracle users.  Analytic Views enable much simpler SQL statements and significantly improved performance for aggregate and calculation results.  This is a big advantage for any developer building reports for data analysis purposes – not just data warehouse, business intelligence applications.

This introductory session covers:
- The basic components of Oracle Analytic Views:  Dimensions, Hierarchies, Analytic Views,
- How to create and implement Analytic Views atop existing relational tables, via SQL and via SQL Developer
- Use of Analytic Views in an APEX Bi-like Reporting Application
